Ahemm… (Ben?)
(hint hint…)
My boyfriend is basically a interior decorating genius… :)
He is adorable, I came home to these after work yesterday, and undoubtedly they do brighten a room!
I am in serious need of a light box. I have been taking food photographs like crazy, but none of them are good enough to post on here. I am tired of yucky lighting!!!!!
Anyway, this is Ben’s amazing “Black Bean, Corn Chowder, Sorta Thing” or at least that is what he called it. We are going to own an amazing restaurant someday, let me tell you. He is great. It really hit the spot after some rough finals. School is getting the best of me, sorry to say.
I hope you all are surviving finals! Christmas break is my mantra.
Happy Monday!
Happy Independence Day! Banana Pancakes!
Of course every time I make banana pancakes, I have to sing the Jack Johnson song while doing so. It might have been annoying if anyone could hear me. My family is going crazy trying to clean for my sister to come home, in likeeeeeee an hour? Good job. Loud as shit. Me singing banana pancakes definitely does not win the annoying category today!
Anyways done with my bitching!
They were delicious, and Heff approved.
I got the recipe from Vegan Comfort Food, but instead of using whole wheat flour I used some spelt flour instead. Better on my belly.
I hope everyone has an amazing fourth! Go to the lake! Grill out! Just have fun!
Okay bye.
Pre-Run Snacky.
I got this yesterday for dinner along with a TLT sandwich from Greentree!
I just needed a little something before my run in the woods! It was the first time I have ran in the woods out back, so I took my doggy with me. She was very happy! :)
mmm!

“I have some great news for the planet. The food and drink an average person consumes are the single largest determining factor of one’s overall ecological footprint. Why is this good news? Because knowing this, it’s easy and affordable to make important improvements to our global impact. You don’t need to buy a hybrid or get solar panels to make the biggest difference; just changing our shopping and eating habits to delicious plant-based choices can have positive effects.
Animal agriculture is responsible for many of the world’s most serious environmental problems — global warming, water use and pollution, massive energy consumption, deforestation, loss of biodiversity and species, as well as the deep impact of fishing on our oceans. A 2010 Report from the UN International Panel of Sustainable Resource Management strongly urges a global shift to a plant-based diet to both feed a hungry world and greatly reduce environmental impacts like global warming.”
